To become a catholic is "to ask to be admitted to a sacramental community giving witness to the historic epiphany of God's grace in Christ our Saviour whatever the foibles of the local, temporal, social and spiritual, Christian family and/or its members."
We may read all sorts of different things about Catholicism or talk to friends and acquaintances whom we think should know a thing or two about the Church. The best and safest way is to speak directly with a priest either at the Church, by telephone, fax or email or by asking for an appointment to see the parish priest with a view to taking instructions.
